Yes, training is still occurring throughout this time. While the COVID-19 pandemic continues we are following closely the advice from Government and other regulatory bodies to reduce risks. In addition to following social distancing measures, we have implemented several other strategies involving modified practical assessments, smaller class sizes, larger training spaces, single use training aids, and heightened hygiene precautions. Furthermore, we now offer many of our key programs primarily online with a short face to face assessment with small groups.

Simply head over to our booking page and select a day and time that suits you to complete your CPR, or First Aid Course.

After you book your course, you will be sent an email with login instructions to the student portal. Once you login to the student portal, you complete the learning modules at a time that suits you.
Online with Face to Face This delivery method is best suited to returning students who are confident in learning online. The knowledge content and theory assessment is delivered through our online learning system (Training Desk), before attending a short face to face practical assessment. It is essential that students have access to a reliable computer and internet access.

First Aid and CPR are practical skills first and foremost. To gain the accreditation for your course, you must complete a practical assessment as well as the theory component.
This will also help reinforce your learning and in the event of a first aid event you will be able to offer the best care you can.

When booking into your public course you will have a range of delivery methods to choose from - Blended, or Online with Face to Face Assessment. Details of these delivery methods are listed below. Importantly, each delivery method has elements that will appeal to different audiences.
Blended Training
Students complete some online learning prior to the face to face training and assessment. All topics are covered in the face to face session along with all assessment elements. This delivery method is the most popular as it suits all learner types and strikes a balance between course duration and classroom-based learning.Online with Face to Face
This delivery method is best suited to returning students who are confident in learning online. The knowledge content and theory assessment is delivered through our online learning system (Training Desk), before attending a short face to face practical assessment. All elements of the training and assessment are delivered in the face to face setting. This is the longest duration of training and offers students the maximum opportunity to interact with the trainer delivering the information.Refresher Training
Students must hold a current certificate in the course being delivered. This delivery method involves the same face to face component as blended training, however students do not need to complete pre-course work due to their existing skills and knowledge. -

The unit of competency requires that participants perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a manikin placed on the floor. Without this being performed we cannot issue a certificate. The trainer will do everything they can to make it easier such as allowing extra time, providing a chair to assist getting up or down or providing the opportunity to complete the assessment in private however, in order to issue the nationally recognised certificate they must see that task performed.

If the course you are completing has pre-course work this should be completed prior to the day of training. If you don’t complete it you may have some difficulty with the content and may not be able to be issued a certificate.

There is no minimum age however, we would not recommend the course for a child under 14 years old. If the child is under 14 years of age, it would be our recommendation that a responsible adult will be attending with the child.

In some cases, your certificate will be issued electronically the same day you complete your training. However, this is dependent on the course you are completing and other factors. Typically, your certificate will be issued within 48 hours. If you need it urgently, please inform the trainer and they will attempt to prioritise processing your paperwork.
